Il faut le dire, les Pingouins ne font pas beaucoup de bruit depuis le début de la saison. Le gâteau ne lève pas... comme en 2019...
Pittsburgh possède l'avantage de jouer dans une division où tout est possible. Si l'on ne tient pas compte des Démons du Jersey, qui sont une donnée éloignée en terme statistique, l'ensemble des formations de la Métropolitaine peuvent espérer se tailler une place en série.
C'est ni plus ni moins qu'une saison en dents de scie que nous avons chez nous.
Les séries de victoires sont rares et les points s'engrangent à pas de tortue. Un avantage numérique que l'on pourrait catégoriser de moyen et un attaque qui a de la difficulté à trouver ses repères. Un gardien numéro un qui a encore des croutes à manger et le leadership de ceux qui possèdent une lettre sur leur gilet qui est ouvertement critiqué dans les médias de la capitale de l'acier... Voilà le tableau.
Lueur d'espoir; le vétéran James Reimer, signé à la toute dernière minute l'été dernier, insufle un brin de positif à cette défensive chancelante.
Hyman, Bjorkstrand et Pesce sont sans doute les joueurs qui en donne le plus à l'équipe.
L'objectif premier est toujours de rester devant les Flyers, que nous avons malmené le sq'at novembre au soir (blague de Jean Chrétien)... et nous espérons nous qualifier pour les séries.
D'autre part, en ce qui concerne nos espoirs, nous aimons la progression de Jack Quinn et d'un certain Adam Ruzicka. Nos éclaireurs en disent beaucoup de bien dans nos filliales... La force des jeunes.... le meilleur est à venir!
