Déjà la mi-saison dans la LHS, le temps passe vite.
On ne va pas se mentir, pour le Colorado, les choses vont bien. Présentement 5ième dans la titanesque divison centrale, le club joue pour se tailler une place en séries éliminatoires et n'est pas prêt de ralentir. Le Directeur Général nous a confié des propos intéressants sur le rendement de son équipe jusqu'à maintenant.
- Monsieur Fournier, êtes vous satisfait de la façon dont les gars jouent depuis le début de la saison?
" Évidemment, les boys font leur travail, y'a pas à dire. On a une grosse divison, ça joue du gros hockey. l'important c'est de garder une constance et de continuer à corriger les erreurs. On garde les eyes on the prize comme on dit mais on est dans la bonne direction."
- Vous parlez de divison, auriez-vous aimé être dans une division comme l'atlantique pour vous assurer une place en série ? (rire dans la salle)
"(sourire coquin) Non écoute, c'est en se mesurant aux meilleurs que tu as un meilleur club. On perfome bien présentement c'est bon signe pour nous autres et je pense qu'on peux être dangereux en séries."
- Pensez-vous avoir rempli vos objectifs depuis votre arrivé au poste de DG ?
"Euh, l'objectif premier c'est la coupe alors on se rapproche tranquillement, mais on pense avoir fait du bon travail pour avoir une équipe performante et en santé.Il y a encore du pain sur la planche,il y en aura toujours,mais je pense qu'on est sur la bonne voie pour rester compétitif longtemps."
- Parlant de compétitivité, vous aviez une équipe déjà établie en arrivant à la barre de DG mais vous avez décidé d'y aller pour une reconstruction rapide, c'était pas une tâche plus compliqué pour vous?
" Écoute, à la base c'était une reconstruction mais on a réussi à faire de bons coups, on a eu de bons repêchage et nous voilà aujourd'hui. L'équipe était talentueuse mais comme dans tout il faut que tu vois ça sur le longterme, et on voyait que c'était le move à faire un jour ou l'autre.Et comme je disais, on est jeune, on est en santé et ça auras pris un petit pas de recul pour mieux avancer."
- Parlant de Jeunesse, comment se passe le développement des jeunes et qui sont vos chouchou ?
"Très bien, on a des jeunes déjà à un niveau NHL c'est impressionnant, évidemment on ne veux pas les presser, le pas dans la grande ligue peux être difficile si mal préparé, mais ça sent bon pour nous autres.Pour les chouchou, tout ce que je peux dire c'est que vous devriez garder un oeil sur des gars comme Lukas Reichel,Cole Sillinger et Scotty (Scott Perunovich). C'est trois jeunes joueurs avec un grand talent de hockey, qui seront probablement des assets importants du club dans le future, aussi proche que l'an prochain si tout ce passe bien. Y'a une bonne chimie dans le vestiaire et sur la glace et je pense que ça va faciliter leur arrivé dans la grande ligue."
On peux donc conclure que la "to-do list" De Jey Fournier se coche rapidement et que le future de L'avalanche est prometteur, c'est les fans qui en seront heureux! On ne peux que souhaiter à l'équipe de continuer à briller pour la deuxième partie de la saison.
