Un échange sorti du champ gauche...! Une décision audacieuse...! Un risque inutile...!
Les réactions fusaient de partout suite à la transaction d'Alex Galchenyuk aujourd'hui.
C'est sans gaieté de coeur que les Canucks échangent Galchenyuk, que nous avions repêché en 2012 et qui a grandi au sein de notre organisation. Quittent avec lui deux choix de 3e tour en 2021. En retour, Vancouver reçoit des Sabres de Buffalo Patric Hornqvist ainsi que le choix de premier tour des Sabres en 2021, ce qui s'avère le morceau intéressant pour notre club.
Considérant que le club se porte bien (14-4-2 dans les 20 derniers matchs), cet échange a de quoi surprendre. Or, nous estimons qu'il s'agit d'un risque calculé pour mettre la main sur un choix de premier tour. Galchenyuk tirait de la patte sur le 2e trio des Canucks et, avec ses cotes similaires, Hornqvist ne devrait pas faire pire. De plus, Hornqvist apporte de l'expérience et de l'intensité, ce qui manquait à ce trio.
Par ailleurs, le rumeur court que le DG des Canucks est en conversation sérieuse avec quelques équipes afin de renflouer la brigade défensive du club.
