Sommairement, le club sacrifie le choix de première ronde de 2021 des Sabres acquis hier ainsi que l'espoir Drew Helleson pour mettre la main sur Calvin DeHaan qui va trouver sa place sur le 2e duo du club. DeHaan, qui est signé pour quelques saisons, offre de bonnes prestations dans la LNH cette année et offre un style de jeu qui cadre bien avec le club de Vancouver.
Les emplettes semblent complétées pour le moment du côté des Canucks et on veut laisser aux nouveaux venus le temps de s'acclimater à leur nouvelle équipe.
