Méritant la deuxième étoile du match, il a été un rouage important dans la victoire. Fort à parier que Korpisalo trouvera un nouveau domicile avant la période des transactions. Les rumeurs laissent sous-entendre que deux équipes ont déjà entâmés des pourparlers avec les Knights pour obtenir les services du finlandais et que le DG sera à l'écoute pour la bonne offre d'ici la date limite. Korpisalo sera joueur autonome avec restrictions à la fin de la présente campagne.
Les Knights ont aussi transigé le futur UFA Matt Martin aux Rangers en échange de Brendan Perlini. Ce dernier à immédiatement pris la route vers Chicago pour obtenir plus de temps de jeu d'ici la fin de la saison afin de se développer.
