Pas de mouvement à la date limite pour les Bruins, les ajustements ayant été faits dans les semaines précédent la date butoir. Comme toujours, nous gérons l'équipe en gardant en tête le présent, la saison à venir et le futur de l'équipe. Le noyau dur de l'équipe est donc resté intact mais les Bruins ont ajouté encore un peu plus de poids et d'expérience pour les séries avec les acquisitions de Brian Boyle et de Nick Holden en plus de l'ajout de Marcus Foligno oublié depuis le début de la saison dans les agents libres.
L'équipe n'a pas le punch offensif des saisons précédentes (ce qui devrait être une autre histoire la saison prochaine) alors il fallait miser sur autre chose pour demeurer dominants cette année. Nous avons assemblé un alignement lourd et robuste et comme les pénalités viennent avec, les unités spéciales devaient être à la hauteur. Au travers de perfomances en dents de scie tout au long de la saison il fut difficile de trouver les bonnes combinaisons mais avec Darcy Kuemper qui commence à garder les buts comme il se doit, il semble que l'équipe ait trouvé une stabilité et atteint sa vitesse de croisière. À la porte des séries, c'est de bon augure.
Chose certaine, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'espace dans le vestiaire avec Mark Scheifele 6'3 207 - Mark Stone 6'4 219 - Brady Tkachuk 6'3 196 - John Tavares 6'1 209 - Patrick Laine 6'5 206 - J.T.
