Une saison régulière traversée aisément sans trop de problèmes & des séries qui aura réellement testé le Wild du Minnesota. La chance les aura aidées à certains moments, notamment contre les Stars, cette série qui aurait bien pu basculer en faveur de l’équipe texane. Les séries auront toutefois exposé le manque de punch offensif, une lacune qui met un petit voile sur le travail de Cameron.
De l’aveu du directeur général, ces succès n’étaient pas attendus, alors qu’on s’attendait à se battre pour une place de série, jamais le Wild n’a été inquiété. Avec les succès de l’équipe cette saison, la pression sera élevée en octobre prochain, le président de l’équipe a tenté de tempérer les attentes en disant que l’équipe avait surperformé, malheureusement personne dans la pièce à gobé cette déclaration.
